Since yesterday was Fathers Day, I decided to dress Scotty up extra cute for church. Ty and I admired him all the way out the door, excited to show him off to everyone at church. As we got into the car we realized we had forgotten his blankets, but since we were almost running behind and he was dressed in long pants on a warm day we decided it would be okay. Off we go to church, making it just in time...
As we are getting out of the car and into the building we hear a loud noise coming from Scotts car seat. A noise that can only mean one thing, time to find a changing table. I told Ty to go ahead, get us a seat. I'll change the little guy and meet him in a minute.
While I was walking to the Mothers Lounge I had a sweet lady stop me and point out that my little man was leaking. I sped up a bit, hoping it isn't too bad and that he'd still be able to wear his "Oh So Cute Fathers Day" outfit. Once I was in the Mothers Lounge I realized how explosive the situation really was. The outfit is a complete loss.
So I reached into his diaper bag to pull out his spare clothes, they were no where to be found. That's when I remembered taking them out the day before, forgetting to put them back after looking for his binky. Oh no!! What am I going to do? I dug deeper into the bag and found a onesie that was way too small and a little stained... and then remembered that I had no blanket to wrap him in.
The look on Ty's face when I walked in, with our little Scott popping out of an ugly tight onesie, was priceless. The rest of the meeting was spent trying to keep his chubby legs and arms warm with a small burp cloth and a bib, and laughing at how funny he looked in his new fathers day outfit.

Annabelle was a very explosive baby. I remember one Sunday, she wore a beautiful white sundress with little tiny embroidered blue and pink flowers (from Baby Gap). my FAVORITE dress, and her FIRST time to wear it.
we walked in, everybody oohed and aahed, a young girl came and asked to hold her, they sat down and within 2 minutes, Annabelle's beautiful white dress and bloomers were YELLOW.
the poor girl holding her was covered too. it was awful. and of course, i had no change of clothes, so we went home. quite a production for 4 minutes of church time.
love the pictures of Scotty's mirror tummy time. those are really precious :)
Oh that's so bad! Gotta love motherhood...always something to surprise you, even when you think your completely prepared! :) Gotta love it!
Now, if we can just get another little booger, Sari is just so big...Miss Independent!
Meg, just so you know, We still admired his cute little faces from behind you! This has happened to all of us! Isn't it a bummer?
I have soooooo been there! I bet he was adorable anyway!
I was just going to say what Sarah did, I was dying at his cute little face over Ty's shoulder in church. He is such a doll and Blow outs just mean a cute slightly naked baby later! His legs are super cute too, no need to hide em :) (we'll all have to go get BBQ sometime)
