September 11th

I got this as an e-mail... I thought I'd share it here.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Erase what I said below, and tell us your own story then erase my name and put yours, be sure to send this to all of your friends and family!

I can’t believe it has been 5 years!! I remember that day well...

I was sleeping in on my day off of school... My dad called and woke me up. He said "I don't mean to wake you, but there is some stuff going on right now that you may want to watch." Then he explained what had already happened and we hung up. I ran upstairs where my sibling were home sick, and turned on the TV. I was horrified at what I saw. I immediately called Ty (who was just my boyfriend at the time), and told him to turn on the TV.

My younger sister was horrified... after watching the people on the news speak of th evils of terrorists and how they were going to be hunted down and pay for what they did, she turned to me, almost in tears, and she said, "Megan, I am a terrorist!"

"No you’re not!" I responded. Trying to figure out why she'd say such a thing.

"Yes, when we went to Las Vegas and Disneyland, I was a terrorist!" She looked so sad.

I smiled after realizing that she was getting the word mixed up with the word tourist. For some reason her innocence made me smile and feel a little better.

I told her where she was confused and hugged her.

Later that day I went to work at Los Hermanos Mexican Restaurant, I was scheduled to take my "servers test". The restaurant was really slow and I took the test while watching the TV upstairs and talking to my co-workers. I passed the test and wasn't excited, even though I had been studying for a week straight.

What were you doing on that day?. Write what you were doing on September 11, 2001 - HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN WHEN THOSE TOWERS FELL-
