Today Scott James is ONE! This year has gone by so fast. I can't help but feel sentimental and a little nostalgic today thinking back on his little life and all the things that he has brought to ours. I love him so much, and feel so lucky that I get to be his mom. He has become momma's sweetheart and dad's best friend.
I did this 6 months ago, and wanted to do it again for the past 6 months. Here are some of my (our) favorite things about Scotty that I (we) love and want to remember...
* the way his eyes sparkle when he laughs * the way he feeds Keeley his food and giggles when Keeley eats it * watching him learn to pull himself up * his 1st word "DAH" while signing dog * his fat feet that don't fit into shoes * that he has been in 12/18 month clothes since he was 5 months old, and is still wearing them * the way he kisses Elmo in his Elmo books * bath time with his bath toys * when he and Ty play with bouncy balls in the grocery stores and he can't sit up straight because he is laughing so hard * the way he waves Keeley away when Keeley is bugging him * that he wants his momma when he needs some comfort * when he wakes up in the mornings and yells out "DAD" * the way he won't smile for photographers, no matter what they do * watching him sign 'more' & 'food' when he is hungry * wanting to read SO BIG over and over * watching him learn to walk * watching him try to run for the first time * the way he is obsessed with Aunt Alison's purse and all the contents inside * when spoons kept him occupied at restaurants * his 1st haircut * everyone stops us stores to oooh and ahhh over his beautiful brown eyes * his 2 tooth smile * his concerned look when there is something going on he is not quite sure about * giggling when he swings * his 1st Halloween * his 1st Christmas * the hairs that are a funny texture on the back of his head after sleeping * trying to dance * the way he says Puffs, "pah" * the way he said Uh-oh, "uh.................ahhhhhhh" * his little Pumas * he sets appointments on my phone, so durring random times of the day my alarm will go off with something like Qqlqjk5 * the way he waves down to me from the top of the stairs when Ty is taking him to bed * rocking him to sleep when he needs a little extra love * he cries every time Ty gets out of the car, but never when I do * when he eats puffs out of the secret compartment of his music table * the way he'll crawl over and snuggle when least expected * the look on his face right before he starts to cry (so sad but so cute) * when Ty runs around the corner and he chases him * when he shakes his head 'no' right before he does something he shouldn't * when he does "soooo big" by raising his arms over his head *

Very, very touching. Your love runs so deep for your family. I know that feeling. Thanks for reminding me of those wonderful years when my own kids were that age.
Aw Scott James! What a character! So sweet and so cute.
