Day 5
On day 5, Ty and I finally did something we have wanted to do everytime we have been to Oahu.
We hiked to Waimea Falls. The hike wasn't really a hike, but more of a flat 1 mile walk. It is considered a botanical garden. It is also full of history and is said to be where some of the first natives lived over 2,000 years ago.
We took our time to check out wild peacocks and chickens, to look at the bright colored plants, for Ty to swing on vines, and to "explore" the replica of the old village.
Day 6
We went to Waimea Bay. We played in the waves (until I got crunched pretty hard on the sand). Then Ty body surfed, boggie boarded and swam around while I read and dozed on the beach.
On our drive back to the hotel we stopped at Laie Point, (we actually found it by accident). It was really awesome, although it was windy and the waves were crashing all over, there was such a peaceful feeling.
That night, I started to get some contractions (I think I was a little dehydrated and I may have overdone it when I was playing in the waves) so we took it easy. The contractions went away as soon as I guzzeled a few gallons of water and put my feet up.
Day 7
This day I took Wendy's advice and dug a hole in the sand, just big enough for my bump, and laid on my stomach. It was heaven!! I'd do anything to be able to do this in my bed at night.
Then we went to the North Shore and watched the surfers until the sun started to set. When the sun was setting we wentto a local seafood restaurant and ate the best Mac Nut Mahi Mahi. We had always wanted to see what the North Shore was like at night. It was beautiful; the stars were so bright and the waves seemed louder then ever.
Day 8
The trip was winding down. We were getting booted from the hotel at 11 am, had to have our rental car be back by 4 and our flight didn't leave until 10 pm. So we packed up, put our luggage into a "convience room" and spent the last day mulling around the island. We drove to Kailua, and then Pali Lookout.
Then came back for Pineapple carving at the hotel. Picked up our luggage, dropped of the rental car, went to the airport (where Ty pushed me around in a wheelchair-- due to swollen and sore feet) and watched hours of HEROS until our plane left.

Day 9
After a looooong red eye flight, then a loooooong lay over and another not so long flight, we finally made it home. The first thing we did when we got home was walk straight to our bed and in a matter of minutes we were fast asleep.
We had so much fun on our *BABYMOON*!
I'm so glad we were able to go and I can't wait to go again.
