Final Project~

Here is my final project from the cake class I took.

I couldn't get the lighting right, so it looks pretty washed out. But you can get the basic idea of what we learned.

Those flowers on the top and side are made from Royal Icing and the rest of the cake was frosted with Buttercream Frosting. I made all the flowers from scratch. I learned a lot more, but I didn't want to use them because I had a "theme" going on! I also learned different borders and the "basket weave" which you can see on this cake.

I still need a lot of practice, but it sure was fun to take the class. Next I want to learn fondant and gum paste!
